Radiothon for Seva Food Bank 2023

This November, CJMR 1320 hosted its 13th Annual Radiothon in partnership with Seva Food Bank, marking a day of extraordinary community spirit. Our 12-hour marathon broadcast, sans music or commercials, united listeners in a mission to combat food insecurity.

Seva Food Bank, a Mississauga-based organization, plays a crucial role in providing access to nutritious food for those in need. Their work, focusing on both immediate needs and long-term solutions, is a beacon of hope in our community​​​​.

The Radiothon was a whirlwind of activity, with our hosts answering calls non-stop. Their dedication was mirrored by our diverse audience’s generosity, helping us surpass $150,000 in pledges. Vipin Saini, Seva’s Executive Director, expressed his heartfelt thanks: “The support this year was incredible. Being together for this cause, combined with CJMR’s amazing facilities and team, made the Radiothon a resounding success.”
