CJMR’s Flood Relief Radiothon Raises Over $200,000 for Punjab Flood Victims
In a remarkable display of community solidarity and generosity, CJMR 1320’s Flood Relief Radiothon successfully raised over $200,000 to support those severely affected by the floods in Punjab, India.
Broadcast live, the radiothon encouraged listeners and donors across the region, underscoring the station’s deep-rooted commitment to humanitarian aid. The funds will help 60 families recover and rebuild, with each family receiving $100,000 Rupees. Additionally, the donations will empower frontline organizations to deliver immediate relief and continue their essential work in restoring affected communities.
CJMR is deeply connected to its community every year. Seva Food Bank, a radiothon broadcast live on CJMR, raises donations and food for those in need. Beyond fundraising, this initiative has amplified voices of hope and demonstrated the profound impact of collective kindness and determination.
